ReplyDeleteSubject: Request for Funding Support for a Community Water Supply Project in Chisulo
We write on behalf of the residents of Chisulo Community, Kawambwa District, Zambia, to request financial assistance for the establishment of a sustainable community water supply system.
Our community currently lacks access to reliable and safe water sources. As a result, residents are forced to travel long distances to fetch water, creating significant challenges for households, affecting children's school attendance, and increasing the risk of waterborne diseases.
To address this urgent need, we seek funding to implement a community water supply project. The proposed project will include the drilling of a borehole, installation of a water pump, construction of a water storage tank, and establishment of public water collection points to ensure access to clean and safe water for all residents.
The objectives of the project are to:
• Provide access to clean and safe drinking water for community members.
• Improve public health and sanitation.
• Reduce the time and effort spent collecting water.
• Support education, economic activities, and community development.
• Enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
The project is expected to benefit approximately 3,800 people living in Chisulo Community. We estimate that the project will require funding of approximately USD 13,872 to cover equipment, construction, installation, and community maintenance training.
